Californian Born Luthier Bill Asher Has Been Building High-end Custom Guitars For Over 15 Years
He has been in the guitar repair business for over thirty years and has now expanded his business to include building high-end guitars. Asher’s work is renowned for its superior craftsmanship.
His career has spanned several sectors and spanned the globe. From television to music, Asher has tapped into many different entertainment markets. Asher was born on Aug. 8, 1921 in New York City. He had two parents, the actor Lillian Bonner and the movie producer Ephraim M Asher. His parents divorced when Asher was in his early teens. His father had become successful and specialized in horror films at Universal, so the family moved to New York. After dropping out of school, Asher found work in the Universal mail room. He later joined the army, as a photographer.
Asher’s venues were famous for their grand parties and daring stunts. The venues soon became hot spots for celebrities, attracting media attention. Some of the venues that became popular were American Junkie, Golddigger, and Dr. Other notable celebrities that became famous after Asher’s launch include Justin Bieber taking over the DJ booth at American Junkie and Charles Barkley at Dirty Pretty Rock Bar. In addition, Mike Tyson was arrested at the Pussycat Lounge Nightclub. However, Asher interceded and got the charges dropped against Tyson. In turn, Tyson thanked him by holding his championship belt during his next fight.
Asher has a large portfolio of clients. His client list includes many famous artists. The guitarist Ben Harper, as well as other stars, have all commissioned guitars from Bill Asher. He has also collaborated with Fleetwood Mac, Paul Simon, and Jackson Browne. The guitars he makes are of superior quality.

He received his undergraduate degree from Harvard College and his law degree from Harvard Law School.
